Jim Curtin

Jim is an experienced software executive who has founded and led a number of successful start-ups in the enterprise infrastructure, cloud and security space. Jim’s passion for building and propagating high-value solutions brought him to Grid Monitor – the challenge of dramatically improving the productivity and work-product of energy market professionals is a natural extension of Jim’s experience and ambitions. Jim has experience in venture-backed start-ups, bootstraps, and large enterprises.  He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Financial Development Program (executive training/MBA) at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Mark Bruce

Chief Product Officer

Mark has more than 17 years of experience in energy policy development and advocacy, beginning with his service to the Electric Utility Restructuring Legislative Oversight Committee of the Texas Legislature which was responsible for overseeing the implementation of Texas’ landmark 1999 electricity deregulation legislation. Prior to establishing his consulting practice in January 2009, Mr. Bruce served as Director of Market and Regulatory Affairs for FPL Energy where he supported FPLE’s power generation, commodities trading, asset development, and retail electricity business units in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Kansas. His private practice is focused on emerging technologies integration with bulk electricity systems and markets.

Todd Sanders

Todd is an Information technology leader with experience in automation, telecom, security, medical, and marketing.  He has an extensive background in software development, and management across mobile and web-based systems.

Brad Beneski

VP, Business Development & Operations

Brad is directly responsible for ensuring that the day to day operations at the company run efficiently and without complications.As a capable leader with strong management skills and the ability to direct company operations in a growth-minded direction, Brad has been driving companies to reach their true potential for over 28 years.   

Kelso M King

Senior Editor

Kelso has more than 35 years of experience in the Texas electric utility industry, including serving as an expert witness for the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Mr. King also spent 10 years working for the Texas Attorney General, advising state agencies on utility issues, negotiating rates and contracts for utility services, and representing state agencies in rate cases before the Texas PUC. Since establishing a private consulting practice in 1997, Mr. King has prepared reports on energy-related issues for the Texas Legislature, assisted market participants in evaluating impacts and opportunities associated with competitive electricity; evaluated utility rates and procurement strategies for large customers. Mr. King currently publishes newsletters concerning the Texas PUC, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and the Texas electricity market.

Danielle LeBlanc

Technical Manager

Danielle is an experienced project manager and certified scrum master. Prior to being a PM in tech, she worked in the legal field for almost a decade.

Eric Lotter

VP, TEchnical Support & SERVICES

Eric has worn many hats in his software career. Eric has more than 20 years of enterprise software sales and support experience. Combining his training in television and film production and work with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Eric is leading the Grid Monitor efforts to make all of our video content searchable.

Dan Perlman

VP, Marketing

Dan has more than 40 years of technical, marketing and management experience. Dan has focused on security, enterprise solutions, services and online systems. In his eclectic career, he has served in the roles of VP, Marketing, VP, Information Technology and Leader of Consulting Practices.  Dan has been involved in venture-backed start-ups, bootstraps, and large enterprises. He is a graduate of University of Maryland and done graduate work at Stanford University.

J Scott Tyson


Scott is responsible for business development and sales activities at Grid Monitor. He joined the team in 2018.  Scott has a diverse background which includes sales leadership roles in the software, legal, trading, compliance and energy sectors over a 25+ year career.
